Women

Moms in Touch International was established to encourage mothers and others to meet and to pray regularly for children and schools from Kindergarten through college.

VCC Moms In Touch groups gather for one hour each week during the school year to pray for their children and their schools and to stand in the gap for our children through prayer and to be an encouragement and a positive support to our schools.

VCC has many chapters of Mom's In Touch. Moms in Touch are mothers gathering for one hour each week during the school year to pray for their children and their schools. To see if a group meets for your child's school, visit their website at: www.momsintouch.org

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a dynamic program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. VCC MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom in this stage of life, who share a desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

VCC MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups and provides a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. VCC MOPS encourages women by offering speakers and resources who instruct them in topics pertinent to their roles as wives, moms and women in the community. Women learn that "mothering matters."

While moms are being nurtured in their groups, their children are provided quality care in our MOPPETS program. Loving care and instruction are given to children from nine weeks through kindergarten by trained care-givers.

VCC has two exciting groups to choose which meet on Friday mornings. MOPS I meets on the second and fourth Fridays of each month, while MOPS II meets on the first and third Fridays.

For more information about MOPS II visit their Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mops2/.

For MOPS II contact Nancy Chin (408-266-3588 or darin_nancy@sbcglobal.net)

JEWEL (Joyfully Encouraging Women and Enriching Lives) is a ministry of prayer and encouragement. By reaching out to other women with God's love in fellowship and prayer, we help meet the needs of our sisters in Christ and witness the changing of hearts and lives through the Holy Spirit. Because we are called into relationship with one another, when we give of ourselves, we not only enrich each other's lives, we enrich our own.

JEWEL also serves as a catalyst for developing mentoring relationships between two women. Spiritually mature women can offer younger women the wisdom of their experience and the insight that comes with age. Younger women, with their zest for life and hearts to learn, provide a fresh perspective on life and can be a channel of God's love. Together, they understand better their unique value to God. Women of all ages attending VCC are welcome to participate in JEWEL!

For questions about JEWEL, please contact Bonnie Bajarin 408-655-7935.
