The Life Community Ministry at Venture

The Life Community ministry is an integral part of Venture's vision and mission to intentionally reach out into the community and make mature disciples. We are calling that Intentional Disciple Making (IDM). We understand that spiritual growth occurs best in the context of relationships that reflect the authentic love, care and encouragement found in a Life Community environment. Mission:
The mission of each Life Community shall be to encourage and assist each group member in growing in the practice of God's purposes and in becoming passionate followers of Christ through:

• Bible Teaching - addressing specific needs of the group
• Fellowship - caring for one another
• Outreach - developing relationships with unbelievers
• Assimilation - adoption of newcomers into the group

Scope:
Life Community Groups serve as "adoption units" for the church. They provide an open door for people to quickly develop friendships and move into discipleship and spiritual growth within a joyful, loving context. These groups will meet regularly (weekly or at least twice monthly) and are intended for every member and attender of Venture Christian Church.

Goals:

• Life transformation by the Holy Spirit through God's Word.
• Increased practice of the "one anothers."
• Connect existing members/attenders not yet part of a group.
• Develop relationships with unbelievers and draw them into the group.
