We believe marriage is a God-ordained institution. Marriage is a covenant commitment reflecting God's unconditional faithfulness to mankind throughout all ages. In contrast culture's view of marriage is that of a contractual agreement ("marriage is intended to make me happy, which can lead to divorce) we choose to affirm God's covenant view that marriage is intended to grow us to maturity. God also intends marriage for pleasure and for procreation. We believe that marriage is for one man and one woman for an entire lifetime. We would like to help you as you enter into the oneness of marriage; therefore, we have several ministers on staff at Venture Christian that are licensed to perform weddings. We also offer pre-marital counseling classes. It is our desire that all weddings that occur at our beautiful site at Hicks Road glorify God so every wedding held at our church must follow the church guidelines stated below.

• We are currently only performing weddings for members and regular attendees of our church community.
• Before we can finalize your wedding date, each couple must have pre-marital counseling. There are two approved methods of pre-marital counseling to meet this requirement.
  1. Attend the Engaged Couples Class which is done in a group setting and held quarterly. This is the most affordable option and is led by a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor.
  2. You may seek private counseling from a professional licensed Christian Counselor.
  
  In the two options listed, a certificate of completion must be presented to the Wedding Office.
