Jonathan Ministry

Let’s be real. We live in a culture that chases unholy passions. Chasing unholy passions is not new. The only difference between now and then is that today chasing unholy passions has become popular and easy. Some may even say it is my right.

What unholy passions are you chasing after? Are you like the man who goes to the prayer meeting only to come home and look at pornography on the internet? Or the man who says one thing, and then does another? What we chase after…we simply become. And the sad thing is that we chase after the unholy more than the sacred.

The bible tells us that chasing the unholy will never satisfy. It’s only a pathway to complete destruction. So how do we end this downward spiral? The bible tells us that when “we confess our sins, He (that is Jesus) is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). The first step towards freedom is confession. The “unholy” gets driven out in a public confession. Confessing our sins to one another is something God is simply commanding us to do.

God never intended for His men to go through life alone. The bible tells us that Jonathan was a special friend and encourager to King David -especially during the times when he felt most alone, unsure, and vulnerable. The bible tells us that Jonathan came to David specifically so that he could “find strength in God.” Through our Jonathan ministry, another godly man will come alongside you to affirm you in Christ as you deal with the many storms of life.

You cannot become the man you need to be, the man God is calling you to be, the man you want to be, by remaining the man you are. Make a break with pride and stop playing it safe. Become God's man by being authentic as you share your trials with another man.

Participating in the Jonathan ministry will change your life. It will cost you – your time, your insecurities, and your hang-ups.
